Huawei Connect 2018 – “Activate Intelligence”
From the 10th to 12th of October United VARs members were invited to attend one of the largest and most momentous tech events of the year, Huawei Connect 2018 – “Activate Intelligence", which took place in the fast-paced city of Shanghai. The event was perfect for those looking to create real opportunities to innovate and capitalise on advanced, cutting-edge technology. By interacting with industry experts of the highest calibre, participants were able to discover what they could achieve by embracing new intelligent solutions, which would help take their performance to the next level.
There were many renowned speakers, including global ICT experts, industry leaders, and ecosystem partners. They shared valuable insights on a vast range of new technologies and innovative applications, and elaborated on how they have the potential to transform the future of business. This was conducted throughout two exhibition halls that were collectively over 30,000 square metres, and showcased more than 670 solutions. Throughout both of the halls, visitors were able to get a first-look at the Huawei modus operandi and its ICT infrastructure.
Chinese and Hong Kong United VARs members represented themselves as technology experts
United VARs and its members Acloudear, DynaSys Solutions, and HAND Enterprise Solutions, were among the 1,500 partners invited to the event and were represented as United VARs members for the China and Hong Kong region. Together, they explained how they make global SAP implementations work.
During the event, Alexander Herfort, Head of Business Development at United VARs, was impressed with the technology involved in Huawei’s biggest event. Alexander stated, “Visitors at Huawei Connect did not have to wear badges to gain access to the fair. They simply had their picture taken once and then entered with facial recognition. This is just one example of the advanced technology available in comparison to Europe.”
United VARs members shared their expertise on the critical success factors for international and local SAP rollout projects. Ronnie Sung, Managing Director at DynaSys Solutions, provided relevant insights. Sung highlighted the common challenges faced when executing SAP projects, which spans across various countries and the multifaceted requirements. Additionally, he presented a personalised four-stage method that his company uses to successfully overcome challenges.
Huawei is In It to Win It
Without a doubt, the high-level of content, knowledge, and expertise shared throughout the three days showed why they are at the forefront when it comes to adopting new AI technology. William Xu, Director of the Board and Chief Strategy Marketing Officer at Huawei, really highlighted this when he announced that “imagining the future relies on science fiction; creating the future relies on technology, and Huawei is pressing the fast-forward button to the future […|”. Huawei is United VARs’ preferred global partner for ICT infrastructure, which means that UVARs members not only have access to the most advanced knowledge, resources, and competencies in the industry, but also are important forces in driving the digital revolution.
