Our APJ Summit 2023 and Academy was held in Bangkok on 21-22 November, hosted by Netizen, a member of United VARs in Thailand. We were delighted to hear Seree Satukijchai sharing his inspiring journey to becoming CEO of Netizen.
Chief Partner Officer in the SAP Singapore office, Utkarsh Maheshwari, started by sharing insights from the region, goals for 2024, and how SAP is prepared to support United VARs APJ members.
United VARs Alexander Herford set the summit’s theme with three questions:

- How do we overcome intercultural challenges?
- How do we deliver value for our international customers?

Our alliance is all about sharing knowledge, experiences, and best practices. Richard Lissett from DyFlex Solutions, Seree Satukijchai from Netizen, and Tankler Wang from Acloudear Information Technology presented together, sharing their learnings from recent S/4 Public Cloud projects.
Adapt, Improvise, and Overcome
Michael Greene from The Hackett Group thanked Alexander Herfort, Florencia Bicain, Emily Rebmann, and Manuel Lopez for the opportunity to participate in the United VARs academy in Bangkok. He said that he was hopeful that the knowledge and insights shared by all during the event will pave the way for even greater achievements in attendees’ careers and future United VARs projected. Adding words of wisdom and encouragement, Michael said “Be prepared so that, when necessary, you can Adapt, Improvise, and Overcome.” He extended a special thanks to Seree Satukijchai, Kridsada Satukijchai, and the Netizen team.
Tankler Wang, Center of Excellence member for United VARs SAP Cloud ERP and VP of Service for Acloudear Information Technology Co. Ltd delved into discussions about how to enhance the quality of service for SAP ERP Public Cloud clients.
Our main event sponsor was Amazon Web Services. Anthonius Henricus and Veronica Tang met with our APJ members and explained why AWS is a great option as a hyperscaler, with AWS and SAP continuing to invest, co-innovate, and expand their cloud partnership.
SAP’s Ana Corrales spoke to APJ members about how SAP is supporting United VARs members today and into 2024 and beyond. There were many questions Ana had about SAP Channel Management, and she handled them with aplomb – thank you, Ana!
Head of SAP’s Partner Ecosystem for RISE, Yugesh Jerath in Singapore shared his thoughts about how to encourage customers in the APJ region to move to the cloud, with a future-proof methodology.
2BM Software’s part of SOA People - Martin Pock was at the APJ commit as a solution partner and presenter, showcasing 2BM’s SAP industry cloud-certified solutions for companies using SAP for maintenance, service warehouse, and safety processes. These products are available worldwide through the SAP App Store and United VARs partners: ILLUMITI, All for One Group SE, SEIDOR, DynaSys Solutions Limited, and Netizen Co.
Our APJ summit saw i.START launching its global program to SAP partners in East Asia, designed to equip teams with the expertise needed to become a qualified SAP consultant.
